thanks 4 the tip- but U could have shortened this to 1- 2 minutes- we didn't need 2 see you spend all that time pouring the grape seed oil in- U had lots of bottles 2 continue on with_ we didn't need 2 C U plug them in, etc, etc._ the major points were how 2 remove the lid- and the mix of carrier oil and scented oil_ & of course the cost savings- appreciate U sharing it with us

Please do not ever use a knife for this. A spudger will do it fine and you will not cut your bloody fingers off.
You could use a screw driver but please do not use a knife, that is just being stupid.
And since when as water ever mixed with oil? So, don't use water because the oil will just float on top of the water so it rather is useless to use water. Use just the oil and nothing else. You could even use vegetable oil if you like the smell of it 🙂

I've used coconut oil.It won't solidify because it'll be heated. i've also used vegetable glycerin and fabuloso..

I have tried this before but it didn't turn out right. I'm going to try using the things you suggest. I'd like to add that a good pair of pliers will remove the wick/cap easily without using a knife! Just put it on either side of the cap and with light pressure wiggle up while side-to-side.

Thank you for your video, I just finished purchasing a box of Air Wicks from Costco that cost me $14.99. Once all of them run out I am going to try what you did. Is it okay to mix the essential oil and water together? I heard you said half water and half oil. One empty bottle is 0.67 fl oz (20mL). That means half of it 10mL water and then half 10 ml (different kind of essential oil + carrier oil). Is that true?

Hello all. I tried this with 100% grapeseed oil and proper amt of essential oil. it seemed too thick and never absorbed into the wick. It didn't work. I left out the water because i agree it doesn't make sense… Anyone have a good fix?

I tried refilling with a carrier oil and cinnamon oil but it's not working. No mist! I don't know what I did wrong.
Free diffusers in the walmart freeosk and I happen to have some spent airwick jars handy. Will try one with oil and scents and one with oil/water/scents and see which works better for me.
But why would you put an odorless oil in there? Isnt it supposed to be an air freshener 👀
